Postsaver rot protectors prevent ground-line rot in wooden fence posts and

Postsaver’s dual-layer rot prevention technology is the key to Postsaver

protection’s effectiveness. The dual-layer barrier is formed when rot protectors

are heat applied to wooden posts, ensuring that all the decay-causing factors

are locked out of the post and the wood preservative is locked in.

Each rot protector features an inner bituminous liner that, when heated, melts

and penetrates into the wood’s surface to lock out all the factors required for

decay, including oxygen, fungi & moisture. The second outer layer, sinks down on

top of this seal to add a second layer of protection, ensuring that even when the

post cracks over time, protection is still maintained.

Deeper in the ground there is not enough oxygen for fungi to survive so no

protection is required.
